Under the agreement, both parties will co-develop such functional modules as in-car mini programs and intelligent voice interaction system in the near future with Banma's advanced technologies integrated into GAC NIO's new models.
As for mid-/long-term cooperation, two companies will build a next-generation intelligent connectivity platform based on AliOS, a mobile operating system developed by Alibaba Group, and co-work on the R&D and design of digital automobiles.
“GAC NIO is an innovative car brand boasting both GAC Group's advanced manufacturing capabilities and NIO's car-building creativity. Based on AliOS, Banma will endow GAC NIO with its distinctive functions through technology upgrades, and uphold the development of such innovative brands from various perspectives, so as to provide users with special smart driving experience,” said Chengli, chief marketing officer of Banma Network Technology.
GAC NIO launched at the Auto Guangzhou 2020 three trim levels of the HYCAN 007S, namely the 007S Plus, the 007S Pro and the 007 Sport. Notably, the 007S Pro is an upscale model that can be tailored based on a consumer's personal unique demands.
GAC NIO started delivering the HYCAN 007, its first mass-produced model, in late May. Similar to NIO, the company is using a direct sales model featuring self-owned showrooms, called HYCAN PARK. The first HYCAN PARK opened in Shanghai in June.
